Siri offers two numbers, then sends the call to FaceTime.

On a Mac, Siri is asked to call a dental office and asks whether to use the number in Contacts or a business listing it found. After the contact is chosen, Siri replies that the call can be made from the FaceTime app.

The record

Matt Senter, who publishes Fix Siri, asked Siri on his Mac to “Call Smile First Dental.” He reports that Siri asked which number to use: the one saved in his contacts or a business listing it had found. He chose the contact. His screenshot shows the request and Siri’s final reply, “You can do that from the FaceTime app,” with no call placed.

The clarification step and his choice come from his account; the screenshot shows only the final exchange. The Mac is a MacBook Pro with an Apple M4 Max running macOS 27.0.1 (build 26A434). This is a single first-party report, not a test of how often the request fails or whether other Macs behave the same way.
